J. is recipient of the AMERICAN THEATRE WING JONATHAN LARSON GRANT whose works include Awakening, Birth Day, Breathe, Death of the Pastores, The New Peggy, & Onward.

He was Music Director for the historic, TONY nominated Broadway production of Here Lies Love and part of the GRAMMY nominated Music Department at the Revival of Caroline, or Change at Studio 54. 

The first American composer to write and perform for the first American Pope at St. Peter's Square in Vatican City, his Liturgical Works have gained international attention.
